          1)  Effect of negative chamfering for CBN cutting tools

           Generally thought that, increase the width and angle if the edge was breakage, make it support the pressure stress, improve the strength of the edge. The result is obvious.

           For the edge of CBN tools, the effect of the extent of Honing control tiny chip breakage is obvious.

           Finishing: 0.10*20°, Roughing:0.20*20°, Edge honing 0.01-0.02mm, Edge honing for interrupted cutting 0.08-0.15mm.

          2)  We found that increased the angle of negative, that will increase unit cutting force and cutting heat, and that will effect on the quality of machining surface in the cutting practice.

           The edge is dull: surface is shine, processing is hardened, machining stress, microcosmic tear, burning, etc.

           The solution of question is drop down the stress state of edge, then another mode is appeared , that’s increasing the front rake angle of cutting edge.
